What Is Electrical Engineering?

Electrical engineering is one of the core branches of engineering and it became a profession in the late 19th century. It is the branch of engineering which deals with the study of the application of physics and mathematics of electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism. Electrical engineer designs electrical systems and tests equipment. They work with all kinds of equipment, devices, and systems from the smallest chip to large generators.

In 1831 Michael Faraday discovered the Faradays law of electromagnetic induction, which states that whenever a conductor is placed in a varying magnetic field an emf is induced in a conductor. After the discovery of Faraday’s law of electromagnetic induction, the design, and manufacturing of useful devices and systems began. This law applies to principles of transformer, electric generator and electric.

Electrical engineers are responsible for the arrival of the modern age by the introduction of electricity to homes which is (1 phase 240 v) supply, and Industries which is (3 phase 440 v) supply.
